About This Settlement
A class action lawsuit alleged that Liberty Media Corp. and Las Vegas Grand Prix Inc. wrongfully revoked admission to the Nov. 16, 2023, Las Vegas Grand Prix race viewing areas before the FP2 free practice session could begin, and did so without issuing refunds. Plaintiffs alleged this constituted a breach of contract and sought a partial refund of the ticket price. Liberty Media Corp. and Las Vegas Grand Prix Inc. have agreed to a $3,047,986 settlement to resolve these alleged claims, without admitting any wrongdoing.
Who Qualifies
- You may be eligible to participate in this settlement if you meet ALL of the following criteria:
- You are an individual or entity who attended the Nov. 16, 2023, Las Vegas Grand Prix race events
- You held an eligible Thursday-only or three-day ticket
- Your ticket was purchased directly from Las Vegas Grand Prix (including through Ticketmaster) OR was transferred to you from the original purchaser
- Your ticket was scanned for entry before midnight on Nov. 16, 2023
- Proof of purchase may be required if you received your ticket as a transfer from the original purchaser
What You May Receive
The amount you may receive varies. Eligible class members may receive a cash payment based on the average ticket price and the estimated value of the disrupted FP2 free practice session, with a deduction reflecting the litigation risks of the case. How to File a Claim
- Determine how you obtained your ticket. If you purchased your ticket directly from Las Vegas Grand Prix or on Ticketmaster, no claim form is required — you may automatically receive a payment if you are eligible.
- If you received your ticket as a transfer from the original purchaser, you must submit a valid claim form to receive a payment.
- Visit the official settlement website at VGP2023TicketSettlement.com to access the claim form and gather any required documentation, such as proof of ticket transfer or purchase.
- Complete and submit your claim form — along with any required supporting documentation — no later than August 27, 2026.
